A Lion and a mouse. That is the title of the short story delivered by our friend, Alfian Fajar Ashidiqi. Mas Fian tells the story in two languages, Arabic and Javanese. This story was told in the morning muster on Thursday (27/8/2020).
Once upon a time, a lion slept and a mouse came and was on it. The lion woke up angrily and wanted to kill the mouse. The mouse cried and asked the lion for mercy. The lion’s heart melted and finally let go of the mouse.
The next day, it is told that the lion fell into the hunter’s trap. He howled until the mouse heard him. The mouse rushed to help him by biting the rope of the trap with his sharp teeth until the lion was free.
Mas Fian conveyed that the moral of this story is never to underestimate someone who is weaker than us. Each person has their own strengths and weaknesses. In certain conditions, those who are weak could be our helpers.
